HD Wallet (Hierarchical Deterministic Wallet)

A hierarchical deterministic wallet is a wallet that generates all of its private keys from a single seed phrase using a deterministic process defined by BIP-32.

This means backing up the seed phrase once backs up every key and address the wallet will ever create. HD wallets automatically generate new receiving addresses for each transaction, improving privacy and reducing address reuse. Virtually all modern Bitcoin wallets are HD wallets.
