As such, Onramp has rolled out a meaningful expansion of its custody platform experience. We've brought together an upgraded dashboard, self-service onboarding, wallet recovery tooling, integrated trading and cash management, and deeper vault and security controls within a single, unified surface built for long-term stewardship.

This release reflects how we believe bitcoin custody should work. Institutionally rigorous. Transparent by default. And designed to grow alongside the people who use it.

What's new

This update brings together several core capabilities, some brand new and some significantly improved.

Self-service onboarding. Clients can now set up accounts and configure vaults on their own, with no back-and-forth required. The flow is designed to give you full clarity on your custody structure from the very first step, and the ability to move at your own pace.

Wallet recovery. Clients can now download a configuration file that allows them to reconstitute their Multi-Institution Custody vault independently, outside of the Onramp platform. This is about transparency, personal auditability, and the assurance that your bitcoin is always verifiably yours, regardless of any single platform or provider.

An upgraded dashboard. The new home screen gives clients a comprehensive view of their accounts, vault structures, balances, and activity, all in one place. Think of it as the control surface for understanding how your bitcoin is held and how your custody is configured.

Cash and trade wallets. Clients can now buy and sell bitcoin and hold cash directly alongside their bitcoin within the Onramp dashboard. These wallets are clearly surfaced in the platform, giving clients a more complete picture of their position and making it easy to move between cash and bitcoin without leaving Onramp.

Vault and security controls. Clients have full visibility into how their custody is structured, who participates in securing their bitcoin, and how permissions and signing quorums are configured. You are always in control of how your bitcoin moves.

Integrated custodian visibility. Institutional custody partners, including BitGo, CoinCover, and Tetra Trust, are now explicitly represented within the platform so clients can see exactly who is involved in safeguarding their assets.

Configurable custody structures. As client needs evolve, whether that means adding new vaults, onboarding new entities, or managing multiple institutional relationships, the platform supports that complexity without sacrificing usability.

Designed for responsibility at scale

Every part of this platform experience is built to help clients understand where their bitcoin lives, how it's protected, and how control is distributed. No assumptions. No opaque processes. As custody setups grow more complex over time, the experience stays structured, explicit, and dependable.

A foundation for what comes next

This release lays important groundwork for what's ahead. We see the Onramp platform evolving into something broader. A place where clients don't just custody their bitcoin, but manage more of their financial life around it. That means deeper functionality over time: lending, credit, cash-bearing yield accounts, and other tools that let clients put their bitcoin to work without giving up the security and transparency they came here for.
